We undertake all aspects of the job from the design to the completion.
Our talented design team will come and assess the space, and go over your plans and design ideas with you. Our designers will then provide you with a quote and a design that will maximise your space. We liaise with councils and do all the hard work, so you won’t have to. All of our jobs have a dedicated site manager as well as full time on site carpenters. We also have our own team of plumbers, electricians and plasterers so that every aspect of the job is overseen and managed by Lofted. What are the stages of a loft conversion or extension?
On the initial visit your roof will be inspected and assessed for suitability, before discussing your plans in detail. After which we will draw up plans and apply for planning permission from your local council.
You will then have a written contract of works to sign before we start.
Then any plumbing or electrics will then be sorted, rewired etc, the flooring is laid next, followed by rafters’ dormers and windows.
Skylights and any roof reinforcements can be done at this stage, when the roof will be fitted and cladded.
Windows can then be fitted and the roof will be insulated.
The plastering and installing of any walls or en suite bathrooms will happen at the end.
